Accommodations at The North Star Inn & Resort

Appalachian Trail Adventures (ATA) is excited with our new partnership with the North Star Inn & Resort, which has been a Killington landmark for over 30 years. Long known for their friendly staff, it’s the perfect home base to explore all that Vermont has to offer. With all the cozy pleasures of a modern hotel, updated rooms that include air conditioning, mini-fridge and microwave, including suites with kitchens and jacuzzi tubs. Open seven days a week year-round with a twenty-four-hour manned front desk to help with any request or suggestion. The North Star Inn & Resort is an ideal destination for your true Vermont vacation. Located in the heart of Killington, the Inn features views of Vermont’s second highest mountain and the surrounding Green Mountains.

The facilities and grounds include an outdoor heated pool, male and female saunas, massage therapy room, washer and dryer facilities, modern exercise room, elevator, duck pond, barbecue and picnic area, 24-hour front desk service, game room with a sizable selection of books to read, DVD rentals and business services with fax, copying and high-speed internet access. Exercise room includes TBA. The Inn’s Star Lounge is closed during summer and fall periods. However, there is easy access via a short walkway to the Foundry. Which offer a full-service bar and live music. Complimentary coffee and tea are available daily from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. it the Star Lounge. In addition, breakfast is served in the Star Lounge by the North Star Inn for ATA’s hikers and select hotel patrons. For dinner, ATA’s hikers are welcome to dine at a variety of local restaurants. However, after a short walk to our neighbor, the Foundry Restaurant located on the banks of a beautiful pond, you can dine on the deck with a glass of wine while viewing Killington Peak, Vermont’s second highest mountain.

In ATA’s hiker room guests can find cold and hot water, apples, teas, band-aids, plastic bags, extra hiking boots, laundry detergent and soap to wash water bottles. Feel free to use the water cooler, microwave, refrigerator, hiking literature and DVD’s, board games and puzzles during your stay. For your convenience, water bottles, moleskin, hats, T-shirts, gloves, socks and bathrobes are available for purchase.

Room Options

All guest rooms are recently updated and available with a variety of options, from double rooms to king suites with a private bedroom, jacuzzi bath, living room with sofa bed and a full kitchen.
